Dr Paruk was born in South Africa and immigrated to Canada in 2009. He served the people of Saskatchewan for 10 years before moving to Calgary with his wife, Dr Tasnim Gafoor and their 3 children. Along with general family medicine, Dr Paruk has a keen interest in mental health, behavioral addictions and psychotherapy. Away from the office, he is an enthusiastic outdoorsman who enjoys biking, running and fishing.
Dr. Tasnim Gafoor has practiced family medicine in Saskatchewan and Alberta. She practices full spectrum family medicine which includes female and child medicine, prenatal care, mental health consultations and chronic disease management. She does medical Botox treatments for chronic migraine headaches and axillary hyperhidrosis. Dr. Gafoor has a special interest in dermatology with training at the Vancouver Skin and Laser Centre, as well as a fellowship in Aesthetic and Anti-aging Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine in Florida. She believes that good listening is an integral part of her role as a physician and she is a great advocate for her patients.
Vivien graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Master of Physical Therapy degree after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree.
Vivien believes in lifelong learning throughout her physiotherapy career. She is manual therapy and exercise based, as well as certified in Functional Dry Needling. She is keen in women’s health and has pursued Uro Sante Level 1 course. She believes in educating and providing the right tools to patients so that they can manage their condition and return to activities that are important to them. When Vivien is not working, she enjoys hiking, pilates, hot yoga, and spending time with family and friends. Lori is a 2200 hour graduate and is a member in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta.
Lori has over 17 years experience in therapeutic massage , treating all ranges of clients with a focus to deep tissue. She is trained in swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release. Lori specializes in Trigger Point Therapy, and treating everyday aches and pains from sprains and strains, to headaches and overall muscular tension and stress. Lori is also certified in Level 1 and Level 2 advanced myofascial cupping and Dolphin Neurostim MPS for post surgical scars, burns and chronic pain. Outside of work Lori enjoys gardening and kayaking. She moved to Calgary in 2013 from New Brunswick where she was born and raised.
